Yvonne Hite is a partner and board advisor at The Avery Point Group. Ms. Hite has over 30 years of executive-level leadership experience in manufacturing, financial services, Lean Six Sigma, and executive search. Throughout her career, she has been consistently promoted and has held senior-level executive roles in major Fortune 500 companies like General Electric (GE), Bank of America (BAC), and The Stanley Works (SWK – now known as Stanley Black and Decker). As an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Bank of America Certified Master Black Belt, and Shingijutsu trained Lean executive, Ms. Hite has extensive experience leading Lean, Six Sigma, and digital transformation initiatives on a global scale. Ms. Hite was also one of GE Lighting’s first female Executive Band plant managers in its over one-hundred-year history.
Before her career move into executive search, Ms. Hite was a Senior Vice President with Bank of America, where she led the Trust Services Operation for the Southeast with responsibility for over 8,300 client accounts and over $1.3B in assets under management (AUM). She also managed the business’s Life Insurance Resource Center in Charlotte, NC, with 16 associates supporting 2,900 accounts and 4,400 policies. In this capacity, Ms. Hite drove record-level performance improvements in both client delight and employee satisfaction.
Before her role in Trust Services, Ms. Hite was a Senior Vice President and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with leadership responsibility for key project teams focused on sales and service processes to grow sales revenue, improve client satisfaction, and increase sales associate capacity and effectiveness for the bank’s Premier/Private Banking and Business Banking divisions. While in this role, she also played a key role in the development of Business Banking’s future state sales model, leveraging DFSS and VOC.
Before being recruited back to Bank of America, Ms. Hite was the Global Director of Lean and Six Sigma for The Stanley Works, where she had responsibility for Lean, Six Sigma, and quality resources/deployment initiatives across the entire company, including product reliability, supplier, and process quality management supporting $3B+ in revenue reporting directly to the company’s SVP / Chief Operating Officer. While in this role, Ms. Hite also developed a web-based digital quality dashboard and metrics with full adoption across the entire company globally, serving to benchmark best practices and process excellence improvement initiatives.
Before her role at The Stanley Works, Ms. Hite was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America, where she played a key role as a Master Black Belt in their Quality and Productivity Organization, driving the bank’s initial roll-out of Six Sigma. While in this role, Ms. Hite drove the development of a Key Process Indicator (KPI) Digital Dashboard to gauge Consumer Deposit customer satisfaction in order to create a predictive model to track the Critical to Quality (CTQ) key driver impact from the Six Sigma project improvement actions. She also led a cross-channel team focused on reducing checking unit costs by leveraging Six Sigma improvement methodologies to identify key cost drivers and partnering with cross-business stakeholders to implement improvement actions across ATM, online, consumer telephone servicing, and banking center channels. While in this role, she also led Six Sigma Black Belt and MBF efforts to develop a Small Business Client managed value proposition strategies based on customer feedback to achieve a targeted business impact of over $300 million in savings.
Before joining Bank of America, Ms. Hite spent almost 15 years with General Electric (GE). She was consistently promoted into roles of increasing responsibility in Quality, Plant Operations, and Plant Management. In her Plant Operations and Plant Management roles at GE Lighting, Ms. Hite managed some of the business’s largest and most complex manufacturing sites.
Ms. Hite is fluent in Spanish and has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida, plus a M.S. in Engineering/Global Manufacturing Management from Clarkson University. Upon graduation from the University of Florida, Ms. Hite was recruited into General Electric’s highly selective Manufacturing Management Program (GE MMP), with assignments in several GE Government Electronics division sites. The GE-MMP program was designed to develop and fast-track high-potential operational leaders by combining over a year of classroom leadership development and operations management training with 4 rotational work assignments across various GE businesses.
The daughter of a 21 year US Navy career officer and veteran, Ms. Hite spent her youth growing up in Barcelona, Spain, and too many to count port cities and towns around the US. After many corporate promotions and relocations throughout her career, Ms. Hite now happily resides with her husband and family in the Atlanta area.
